The Axe

axe With a determined resolve, you seize upon the block of metal and set to work at the forge, shaping it into a crude axe with every ounce of strength you possess. The flames dance and flicker as you pound the metal, your heart pounding in rhythm with each hammer blow.

As the water continues to rise, you redouble your efforts, fueled by desperation and a fierce determination to escape. With every swing of the axe, you pour all of your strength into breaking down the door, but despite your best efforts, it remains stubbornly intact.

Time slips away like sand through your fingers, the water now lapping at your waist as you frantically hack away at the unyielding barrier before you. But as the final moments tick by, a sinking realization washes over you—your strength alone is not enough to overcome the obstacle that stands between you and freedom.

With a heavy heart and a sense of bitter defeat, you watch helplessly as the water closes in around you, sealing your fate within the confines of the mysterious room. In the end, your valiant efforts were not enough to save you, a stark reminder of the cruel whims of fate and the merciless nature of time.
